GENERAL INFORMATION
If you haven't been to a Shelbyville ride before you should check in with Gretchen at gretchen@energy2action.com or Marsha.Apsley@comcast.net (re: Tues and Thurs early rides) - just to make sure someone knows you are coming and to discuss pace and routes.
Weekend rides are announced as they come up via email - sometimes we have maps - most times not. So if you plan to join in on a weekend ride and have not been to one of our rides you should email me for details regarding pace and route. Lots of folks start out with our group and then turn back early or do their own thing. If you are interested in a weekend ride you may want to let me know or check in with me via text or email unless you are normally in contact with me. We would recommend you get used to the group by attending the Tuesday and/or Friday night rides before attempting one of the longer weekend trips.
We keep attendance at the Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Night rides - winners receive prizes in October! I'll send the weekly newsletter out on Mondays via email but you can also get the cycling news and attendance standings on the weekly rides on our website anytime: www.energy2action.com
OTHER STUFF TO DO:
Check www.cibaride.org for weekend rides and other Indiana Cycling news!
There is a good website - www.brinin.org that lists rides all over the mid-west by month.
Roy and I registered for Rainstorm - which is the Indiana touring ride in July that culminates on the last day of the tour with the RAIN ride (165 mile Ride Across Indiana) on July 12th. Rainstorm starts on July 7th. More info about Rainstorm at www.triri.org. More info about RAIN Ride at: http://bloomingtonbicycleclub.org/RAIN2014/RAIN.html
Don't forget about our own GOAT RIDE on August 9th this year in Brown County. We offer 4 routes - 12, 25, 34 and 45 miles. Riders can do one, two, three or all four routes! Those who complete all four routes (116 miles) get their names on next year's t-shirt! This ride is in it's 5th year and has really grown. Lots of fun! More info at: www.energy2action.com
Check out this year's Goat Jersey! SO COOL! http://www.energy2action.com/GoatJersey.jpg
