Timeline of Events

The Routes: There will be four routes which vary in length and difficulty.  Riders can do this  event "The Easy Way" or the "NOT so Easy Way"!!  Each road route will be clearly marked and loops back to the registration and camping area at Camp Framasa. Mountain Bike routes leave Camp Framasa and travel  3 miles via road to Brown County State Park then navigate easy-expert rating trails within the park.  Maps of all road and mountain bike routes and wristbands for entry into Brown County State Park will be provided to each rider in their packets on event day.  Some of the road routes pass through the park.  Riders can complete as many of the  routes as they wish and will receive a completion momento for each route that they finish.  Some of the routes are more difficult than others but all wind through beautiful southern Indiana!  You like hills?  We got HILLS!  Preview the routes. Depending on your route choices, Tour De Upland is appropriate for both recreational cyclists and endurance riders looking for a tough workout. We would recommend, however,  that you be able to complete at least a 25 mile road ride on your own without difficulty in order to sign up for this event. Make sure you have proper gearing on your bike for the bigger climbs or ya might be walkin'!

Camp Framasa: Beautiful!  Camp Framasa is nesteled in the hills of Brown County on 309 acres.  There is room in cabins for 300 people and room for an additional 100 tents.  Indoor showers and bathrooms, swimming pool and an indoor eating facility.

Jerseys:  Tour De Upland jerseys are available for purchase for an additional $79.00.  There are six different jerseys to choose from.  If you wish to pre-order a jersey you will be asked for your design choice and size when registering on line.  Jerseys will be shipped to you PRIOR to the ride.

SAG Stops and Route Support:  There will be at least one SAG stop available on each of the longer routes and several roaming sags (including the Upland Festibus!).  Light mechanical support will be available.

Meals: Lunch will be served from 10:00-1:00 p.m. at Camp Framasa.  Snacks/Gatorade and water will also be available throughout the day.  Dinner will be served at Camp Framasa from 7:00 -9:00 p.m. and breakfast the following morning from 7:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m.  Look for some good meals - Upland style!  Vegetarian choices will be available.

Sleeping Arrangements:   Camp Framasa has acres of open grassy areas for finding the perfect spot to pitch your tent!  Bring along all your camping supplies (tent, tarp, sleeping bag, chair, etc.) for a night under the open sky.  Can't handle roughing it in a tent?  Don't worry.  Camp Framasa has several cabins with bunk beds available to sleep in.

What you need to bring:  Soap & towel, chair for sitting around campfire, change of clothes, swim suit, sleeping bag/blanket, pillow, tent (if you prefer to tent camp rather than sleeping on one of the bunk beds in a cabin)  and don't forget your Camper's Karma!

Beer:  Upland will be bringing several different styles of their craft beer to share with the Tour de Upland participants. The cost of the beer is included in the registration price. Please visit the Upland website for descriptions on all of beer that we brew.

Note:  All riders are registering as overnight campers. There is no "ride only" option.  Riders are asked to not leave Camp Framasa after the ride until the next morning.
