Race: This NEW event starts and ends at the Knauf Greenway Trailhead in Shelbyville. Strawberry themed race with Strawberry post-race snacks! T-shirts will be Red and/or Pink! Pick up strawberries along the course for prizes (not real strawberries, Silly!). Free 1/4 mile Shortcake kids run at 7:45 (kids 10 & Under).
Parking: Free parking is available 1 block away behind the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce.
Awards: The top 3 female and male finishers will receive awards. Age group awards will be presented in 5 or 10 year increments depending on registration numbers.
STRAWBERRY THEME FINISHER MEDALS for all who complete the 5K!
T-Shirts: T-shirts will be red or pink or some combo of red and pink!
Course: The run course is on a very nice road width paved trail that goes down into the woods and follows the Little Blue River! Course is just beautiful, very shady and no traffic! You'll love it!
Strawberries on the Course: Plastic or wooden strawberries will be out on the course! Bring them to the finish line for cash prizes!
Registration: Registration for this event will take place in the parking lot at the Knauf Greenway Trailhead, 702 N. Harrison Street, Shelbyville. Free parking is located 1 block away behind the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce building at 501 N. Harrison Street, Shelbvyille. Bathrooms are located at registration.
Free Shortcake Kids Run: Free kids run for kids 10 and under at 7:45 at start/finish line. Apprx 1/4 mile. Finisher awards!
Results: Full results and LOTS of pictures will be posted on the website.
Rules: No Strollers, dogs or headphones allowed.
