Anyone can try out! Just bring your voice!
Closed Auditions. 7:00 p.m. Intelliplex Conference Center, 2150 Intelliplex Dr, Shelbyville, Indiana. Anyone can enter ages 13 -25 (regular division) or 12 & Under (Junior Division). Contestants may not have been professionally recorded or have sold recorded material in the past. Limited to the first 50 contestants and first 25 Juniors registered each week. Juniors will audition first. Contestants may enter more than one closed audition and may re-audition if they do not make it through in one of the first auditions (but they must re-register). No music. No instruments. Auditions limited to 1-1/2 minutes. Contestants will audition in front of three judges in a private room - no spectators. Spectators must wait in the holding room but are cncouraged to attend. Contestants who advance will be announced and pictured on line on the day following each audition and will be required to attend a second screening on June 27, 2009, at The Strand Theater.

First Performance at The Strand!
Approximately 25 Contestants and 12 juniors will advance from the above auditions. These contestants will be invited to a second audition at The Strand Theater on June 27, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. There will be no rehearsal for this show. No Music. No Instruments. Mics will be used. Accupella auditions will be 1-1 1/2 minutes long. Three Judges will be present. MEMBERS OF THE AUDIENCE WILL BE ABLE TO CAST VOTES FOR 10 SEMI-FINALISTS AND 3 JUNIORS AT THIS SHOW ONLY. THE JUDGES WILL PICK AN ADDITIONAL 5 SEMI-FINALISTS AND 2 JUNIORS THAT WERE NOT PICKED BY THE AUDIENCE. Admission to this show is $3.00 at the door.

Second Performance at The Strand!
The 15 Semi-Finalists and 5 Juniors from June 27, 2009, will perform on July 11, 2009 at the Semi-finals at The Strand. Music is permitted - CD Form - light background voices permitted. Each contestant will sing one song. A rehearsal will take place on Tuesday, July 7th at the Strand Theater. Two adult mentors will also perform at this show. Show begins at 7:00 p.m. $3.00 per person admission for spectators. AUDIENCE DOES NOT VOTE AT THIS PERFORMANCE. Three Judges will choose to advance 6 contestants and 3 Juniors to the final round on July 25, 2009. Conestants who are advancing will be announced on stage.

Final Performance at The Strand!
Winners Announced!
Finals - 6 Contestants and 3 Juniors from above. EACH CONTESTANT WILL PERFORM TWO SONGS! Juniors only perform ONE song. There will be two GROUP songs with all 6 contestants
and 3 juniors participating. Practice for the GROUP songs is set for Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at The Strand. There will be no rehearsal prior to the show on July25th. Performers should arrive on 7/25 no later than 6:30 p.m. Admission to this show is $3.00. Three judges will preside. Audience does NOT vote at this performance. One Winner and one Junior winner will be announced on stage immediately following the show. Prize packages will be presented.
