The run course is 3-10 miles. Stations are set up at each mile marker at which runners/walkers will be issued a playing card. There is a time limit of 1 hour and 15 minutes for the event. Runners attempt to pick up as many playing cards as possible in the 1:15 time limit and can turn back at any point. Runners may only pick up one card from each card station. When the time limit of 1:15 is reached all card stations will close and runners must return to the finish line to turn in their poker hands. The top 10 poker hands will share a percentage of a cash prize. Water and snacks will be provided at some of the card stations. You decide the intensity and go your own pace! If walkers cannot gather 5 cards they may play the cards they have collected even if it is less than 5. Play your best 5 cards.
The bike course is 25 miles. Cyclists can complete the course once or twice. Stations are set up at each 5 mile marker at which cyclists will be issued a playing card. There is a time limit of 2 hours and 30 minutes for the event. If cyclists are able to complete the 25 mile course in less than 2:30 they may return to the course and attempt to collect additional cards. When the time limit of 2:30 is reached all card stations will close and cyclists must return to the finish line to turn in their poker hands. The top 10 poker hands will share a percentage of a cash prize. Course will be clearly marked. Water and snacks will be provided at some or all of the card stations every 5 miles. You decide the intensity and go your own pace! If cyclists cannot complete the course in 2:30 they may play the cards they have collected even if it is less than 5. Fast cyclists may only complete the course a maximum of 2 times. Play your best 5 cards.
