FINISHER MEDALS FOR RUNNERS WHO COMPLETE ALL 3 RACES!
Rules: Participants may walk or run in one, two or all three races. The races must be completed in order (no fresh runners in race #2 or #3). Runners/walkers must be across the finish line in one hour per race in order for their time to be counted and for them to be allowed to proceed to the next race. The same course will be used for all three races. If runners/walkers sign up for more than one race they are NOT obligated to finish all the races. It might be HOT, it might be HARD and you might have A MELT DOWN! Or not. This is potentially an endurance event.
Awards: The top 3 female and male finishers in the first race will receive an award. Age group awards will be given in the first race only in 10 year increments: 10 & under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and over. Overall male/female combined best time for ALL THREE races will receive a prize. No age group awards in Race #2 or Race #3. HOWEVER - Those who complete all 3 races will receive a nice custom Meltdown medal!
Course: Course is flat and travels through two parks and the fairgrounds.
We'll have sprinklers and hoses ready to cool you off in between races!
Results: Complete results and LOTS of pictures will be posted on the website.
Walkers are WELCOME and encouraged to attend. Walkers are started with the runners and timed with them as well.
No Strollers or Dogs allowed on the run course.
